The chrome on the hubs is also tarnished(see picture) but the wheels are true and we have not changed them in a bid to keep it original. The brake levers have some minor scuffs on their outside edge and the saddle has a small scuff on one side. There is also a small tear in the stick on chain protector on the frame. The only blemish that is worth mentioning is near to the chain where there is a slight uneven finish in in the paint(pictured) however the paint is not broken and there is no rust. The decals are all intact and similarly striking. Condition The frame itself is truly incredible for its age with the paint work in excellent condition with good lacquer and shine. While being stored by its previous owners it collected a thick layer of grease all over which seems to have protected the frame and is certainly the best condition Peugeot frame of this era I have ever seen. And the result has been a really beautiful bike. It’s taken a lot of work to clean it up and get it riding. We picked it up a while ago as a‘barn find’ having been stored in a Garage since soon after it was purchased in the 80s. I cannot express just how good the condition of this bike is. If there are any French bike aficionados out there then please let me know if this is not correct. As far as I can see all the components are original except those changed in servicing(brake pads etc) and the color coded bar tape. From research I have done on the bike it seems to be a Peugeot P18e built in 1985 with a carbolite 103 frame. Although the bike for sale is in far better condition it does not have the same sentimentality attached to it as our other mixte– so we have decided that it is time to pass it on to a new home. It’s her second Peugeot mixte and has been used rarely for weekend rides so has very low. Up for sale is my girlfriend’s beloved Peugeot Mixte in Blue.
